Better Late Than Never...

Sorry- it's a long one, I have some catching up to do!
Back in early October Jason had his last soccer game of the season. Mel and I decided to take the boys to see their dads play. It was funny when Greyson showed up wearing a green and white shirt too- it looked like he and David were on the same team! Mel brought her camera and got some really cute pictures of them playing.Little spectators!

This was my favorite one- c'mon, do I really need to explain why? So, so cute!

These boys are the cutest little friends!

Mel also took these pictures while we were at Pumpkin Land in October- I love them!

About to go down the slide

This is David and Greyson going through the tunnel at the playground. I thought this was such a cool picture!

Greyson was trying to get David to play with him at the circus board but David was feeling too grumpy!

And lastly, these were some Halloween pictures- also taken by Mel(thanks Mel for being my personal photographer lately!) She has a way better camera than I do, so I'm always recruiting her.
Emily's looking a little envious of Greyson's candy!

And now on to Thanksgiving:
This was at breakfast on Thanksgiving morning. She thought she was pretty cool wearing David's hat! I'm not sure where the Popeye face is coming from- but it cracked me up!

The infamous frying of the turkey! The guys seem to think it's a man's job so they all stand outside watching it...you know, for moral support.

Jason and his brother, Matthew

The finished product...the most juicy, moist, succulent slice of turkey heaven!

Jason's Mom bought us all tickets for the day after Thanksgiving to go on the Polar Express in Heber. It was such a fun experience and such a fun way to begin the Christmas season. The kids are encouraged to wear their pajamas for the occasion and during the train ride they read the story of the Polar Express. Mrs. Clause even served us cookies and hot chocolate! We sang Christmas carols and the trip was completed with a drive-by of the North Pole and a visit from Santa. The particular train we were on was actually used in the filming of A River Runs Thru It- ya, I may have even sat in the very seat that Brad Pitt sat in 20 years ago! Sweet! Thank you Grandma for a fun time, we made lots of great memories!

This picture was taken when an elf came over and asked David what he wanted for Christmas- can you tell he was totally smitten!

The view of the "North Pole" out the window as we went by.

Santa arrived and brought each child a bell

The new proud owner of a Christmas bell...can you hear it?!

Here's David helping Daddy "build" the Christmas tree. We used a small fake one this year so that we could put it behind the chair and Emily wouldn't be able to pull it down!
David thought putting the tree together was pretty cool!

It was fun having David be old enough this year to really be able to help decorate the tree. He was so excited to unwrap all of the ornaments and find a place for them on the tree.

It's serious business- decorating a tree. He was concentrating really hard!

Oh dear...

Yup, this is David's new favorite thing to do! I was making dinner the other night and when I turned around I discovered that David had pushed Emily over to the wall and had gotten out my hair stuff. He had her caped and everything! He told me Emily needed a haircut and asked if I could help him get the apron on. I don't know, he's looking a little devilish to me!

The scissors actually go to his play dough. I figure it's only a matter of time until he gets his hands on my real scissors. I'm already bracing myself...oh poor Emily!

Although this whole situation makes me rather nervous, I still thought these were super cute pictures!

Emily's first make-out session with David's friend Grayson. Yikes! What am I in for...

Well, the mischief has begun...and I'm afraid it's going to be worse with Emily than it was with David...can you imagine?!

Here are two more things David has been into lately- his cowboy hat...and wearing it while mostly naked! He has to have his "naked time" everyday lately. For some really weird reason he LOVES to be cold. He definitely did not get that from me. This picture makes me laugh. He totally reminds me of Lloyd Christmas in Dumb and Dumber!

"Stick 'em up, cowboys!"

I totally giggled when I walked in David's room and found them playing peek a boo! It was one of those warm, fuzzy moments. Wish they happened more often!

So when I saw that David had done this with the chairs I couldn't figure out why...

... until I saw this. Apparently he wasn't in the mood for Emily's company!

Pumpkin carving with Daddy

Well, it was a "yucky" process, but I guess he thought it was worth the finished product!

I took a picture like this last year at Pumpkin Land so I thought it would be fun to do the same this year. He's grown so much. Sniff, sniff.

My proud little Indian! David made the headband and picture at preschool and he was so darn excited about it. He wouldn't take the head band off the rest of the day and he told me I needed to put the turkey on the fridge so everyone could see it!

So once again my friend Jen did a fabulous job taking our family pictures! We wanted some shots with the fall leaves so we ventured up American Fork Canyon. Despite that it was freezing and windy the kids did well and I'm really happy with the pictures. It's always an adventure taking family pictures with kids- I love how their little personalities always come through!
